Nuances in Advanced Nutrition Support for Critically Ill Adult Patients

This presentation focuses on the newer nutrition assessment modalities that include indirect calorimetry and the evaluation of body composition, as well as recent nutrition support research examining optimal protein dosing for critically ill patients. Additionally, this learning activity will review recent research and guidelines to help the clinicians/pharmacists employ novel nutrition assessment modalities while optimizing interventions and the role of pharmacists as part of multi-disciplinary team.
